EK-ambassadeur: Sanne Voets
No less than 3 gold medals Sanne Voets won recently during the World Equestrian Games in the discipline Para-Dressage in Tyron. In addition to the freestyle, she also won the world title with her team and the individual test. The first Dutch combination with the perfect "Triple Gold".
TeamNL-ambassadeur: Edward Gal
Dressage rider Edward Gal recently won for the third time in a row with his stallion Glock’s Zonik N.O.P. and for the tenth time in his successful career the Dutch title among the seniors. The tenth title for Gal. "It is the tenth time, but every time is special", the champion says.
TeamNL-ambassadeur: Rixt van der Horst
Paralympic Dressage rider Rixt van der Horst is also ambassador for TeamNL. She belongs to the world top with a total of 5 world titles (2014, 2018), two European titels (2015) and 3 Paralympic medals with 3 different horses.
TeamNL-ambassadeur: Harrie Smolders
Harrie Smolders was elected "Rider of the Year 2018" for the second consecutive time in his career in 2019. He is mainly due to the fact that from May to December 2018 he was in the first place of the FEI World Ranking. What a TeamNL ambassador!
Ek-ambassadeur: Patrick van der Meer
Dressage rider Patrick van der Meer, from Westland, has been a member of the Dutch team many times. He was part of the Dutch team at the Olympic Games in London (2012) and at the European Championships in Aachen in 2015 where he won the European title with the Dutch team. Patrick was hoping to be part of the team in Rotterdam but unfortunately Zippo, his current horse, was not in the required shape. Too bad of course but we are very happy that Patrick now wants to be our ambassador at the European Championships!
EK-ambassadeur: Danielle van Mierlo
Dressage rider Danielle van Mierlo is well known in the Kralingen Bos. She herself has participated in many editions of the CHIO Zuid-Holland Cup and in the U25 classes. Nowadays Danielle starts at the highest (GP) level. As ambassador of the European Championships, Danielle helps the general public to become acquainted with equestrian sports. She has recorded the equestrian alphabet with RTV Rijnmond and also explains the sport during the European Championships. This way the EK's get even more enthusiastic fans!
