Every year the German outdoor season begins in April in Hagen. This year it will be a very challenging season for the German dressage riders as their focus is on the Longines FEI European Championships in Rotterdam in August.

After all power Isabell Werth demonstrated during the indoor season, this weekend it was Sönke Rothenberger and Cosmo who claimed victory in both the Grand Prix as well as the Grand Prix Special in Hagen with results around 80% in both tests.

At the Grand Prix Isabell Werth and Emilio became second and Jessica von Bredow Werndl and TSF Dalera BB third.

At the Grand Prix Special Emilio was a little too eager which resulted in a third place for Isabell Werth and a score of 78.298. Jessica von Bredow Werndl and her Trakhener TSF Dalera BB won silver with a score of 79,404%, just 0,2% behind Sönke Rothenberger and Cosmo.

The next major milestone on the German Road to Rotterdam are the German Championships in Balve in June.
